Runyon Sports Complex has a long and lustrous history. Each year, in order to remember and thank all of the past, present and future individuals that have made a significant contribution to Runyon Field or Runyon Sports Complex the Board of Directors will be hosting a wall of fame banquet dinner to add members to the virtual wall in the following categories, college level, high school, summer programs, youth, umpires, media, vintage old timers, civic and administrative. We hope to construct and build an actual wall of fame near the current Damon Runyon statue in the future to replicate this virtual wall.
On January 31, 2016, the third "wall of fame" banquet will be held featuring our key

Coach Carrillo BIO:
Chris Carrillo is into his eighth season as the Rattlers Head Baseball Coach. Coach Carrillo, a 2000 Pueblo Central graduate, is also a graduate of OJC. Carrillo played on the 2001 Region IX Championship Team where he was an NJCAA All-American infielder.
After graduating from OJC in 2002, Carrillo went on to play at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Carrillo completed his bachelor’s degree in sociology at Adams State College in 2006 and his master’s degree in physical education in 2010. Carrillo was Otero’s assistant coach for four years prior to being named head coach.
Coach Carrillo states that his philosophy behind winning baseball games is simple. He believes that good things happen to good people who work hard. If each individual takes the responsibility upon themselves to strive to be the best that they can be in every aspect of the game, more can be accomplished as a team. "There is simply no substitute for hard work,” stated Carrillo. “Out- working our opponents is what motivates us to go out to the field every day. I believe that having this mental toughness is an extreme advantage at the end of the season when we are playing for the Region IX title."
Coach Carrillo takes a lot of pride in watching the players that he has coached succeed on and off the field. "Being in a position to help student athletes reach their immediate goals and set goals for the future is what I enjoy most,” said Carrillo.
